Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance with 843 hp

At the Munich IAA AMG has presented the first Plug-In-Hybrid "AMG E Performance" with insane 843 hp

AMG takes the AMG GT 63 S 4matic+ 4 door coupé and adds a high-power Plug-in-Hybrid.

At the front there is the well know 4.0 liter V8-Biturbo with the 9G-Tronic (639 hp) working. At the rear axle AMG adds an electric motor with 204 hp and a 6.1 kWh high-performance battery.

The electric range of the AMG E Performance is not important to the AMG customers. So AMG allows only 12 km electric range. The drivetrain strategy of AMG is to be able to support the V8 engine with the electric power at any time. In combination of both system the drivetrain delivers up to 843 hp and up to 1.400 NM of torque.

The sprint from 0 to 100 kph is done in 2.9s. The topspeed is 316 kph.

The order start will be in the first quarter of 2022.
